Pandemic, for most of us, may sound as an Apocalyptic scenario. Several scenarios happened during this COVID-19 Pandemic. It affected the economic status of most countries worldwide. The supply chain of goods was also affected, and several people are experiencing hunger. Most businesses are close and the spread of the virus is fast. No one is prepared.
Assured Senior Care (ASC) on the other hand, has done measures to continue our services. The love we have for our clients taught us to render the best services we can offer.
How did ASC prepare for COVID-19 Pandemic?
- Imposed Precautionary Measures
Proper handwashing has always been the key to limit the spread of this deadly virus. Hand sanitizers were made available in all corners of the facility to make it accessible for everybody. Sanitation of the whole facility is also done including working areas and desktops. Nurses are also equipped with soaps and sanitizers whenever they go to the field.
- Staff Monitoring and Education
CDC Protocols are observed prior to in-home visits.
We always keep our staff posted through email messages, blogs or blast messaging to inform and update them of the necessary information they need to know.
Field nurses were requested to make reports immediately for our Directors to know the status of our daily operations. We monitor these reports and evaluate them.
- We will suspend the reporting of our staff to their respective work assignments if they exhibit:
Fever (>/= 100.4)
Cough
Cold
Shortness of Breath
Recent travel history to places affected with the Covid-19 (i.e. Italy, China)
Close contact with COVID-19 Positive or suspected individual in the past 14 days.
If we suspect exposure of an individual, we closely monitor them and record to document everything in our Infection Control Manual.
Our Administrative Protocols are being evaluated and needed updates are implemented based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and respective health agencies recommendations.
We will continue to do everything to the best of our abilities to render client satisfaction. Our care and compassion will never end despite the pandemic.
